Emergency Information For Our Obstetrics Patients

If your emergency occurs after business hours, you may page the doctor on call at (630) 897.6044.

Or, if the emergency seems life-threatening, please immediately dial 911.

Office Phone Hours
Monday – Thursday: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Call us immediately if you’re experiencing:

  • Severe lower abdominal pain
  • Bleeding (bright red)
  • Loss of fluids
  • Sudden, severe headaches
  • Visual disturbances with severe headache
  • Painful urination with backache or fever
  • Fainting
  • Severe nausea and vomiting (more than three times a day)
  • At 28 weeks, less than four fetal movements per hour when relaxing and concentrating on movements
  • More than four contractions in one-hour prior to 36 weeks
  • Contractions eight minutes apart when you are due to deliver

Call us the same day if you’re experiencing:

  • Bleeding (pink or brown)
  • Swelling of face and hands
  • Painful urination
  • Fever greater than 100.4
  • Sudden weight gain of four pounds in one week
  • All over itching
