Dr. Xavier Pombar

Board Certified Perinatologist

Dr. Xavier Pombar is a Senior Attending in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Section Director in General Obstetrics and Director of the Residency Program in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He received his medical degree from New York college of Osteopathic Medicine in 1986. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Lutheran Medical Center, Brooklyn, New York in 1991. He served as a Clinical Director for Obstetrics and Gynecology at Union and Saint Barnabas Hospitals in the Bronx, New York. In 1994 Dr. Pombar completed a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Rush University Center in Chicago. Dr. Pombar has also completed a year of research in Obstetrical Ultrasound at the University of Colorado in Denver. Dr. Pombar is board certified in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
