About Me
As your physician, I believe that you should treat every patient with the care that you would want a family member to receive. My focus is on communication, I listen to what the patient is telling me and I make sure that the patient understands what I am telling her. I strive to ensure that my patients do not leave with unanswered questions and a resource if they have additional concerns.
Dr. Edward Newman received his Bachelors of Science degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology from Rutgers University, and graduated with his Doctor of Medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. After completing his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan, Dr. Newman moved to Illinois where he has practiced since 1981. In addition to general OBGYN, Dr. Newman has a special interest in the prevention of osteoporosis, the treatment of menopause, and an alternative to hysterectomy for abnormal menstrual bleeding.
